Acne can strike anywhere sixteen to forty and beyond. Acne is a skin condition that affects almost everyone at some time in his or her lives. According to the National Institutes of Health, nearly eighty-five percent of adolescents and young adults between the ages of 12 and 24 develop some form of acne. Some people continue to be affected into their forties and fifties. Some people are embarrassed because they think that acne is a childhood condition.
Another interesting thing to remember acne isn’t just an external condition it also has some components that are internal. This is why that the surface outbreaks can clear but return at a later date. This is also the reason that spot treatment of acne doesn’t work, you are only treating what was caused to happen a week or long before. The factors at work now could erupt in other parts of your face. Further example why you should follow the directions on the box and or your doctor’s orders don’t stop taking until you run out or your doctor says to stop using the medicine.
It is wise when going outside to wear a sun block and or a hat preferably both. The sun’s rays have been shown to irritate and cause an outbreak of acne.
